The Moon-Sighting Committee in the Council of Shia Muslim Scholars of North America announces that Thursday, May 17th, 2018 will be the first day of the month of Ramadhan 1439AH for the entire region of North America.
Ramadhan 1439/2018
Nightly Ramadhan programs will be held at Imam Ali Masjid from Sunday, June 3rd until Friday, June 15th. The program will begin promptly at 7pm every night with exclusive nightly presentations from the IAM youth, followed by lectures in English by Sayyid Atiq Ebady, Arabic/Farsi by Sheikh Ahmad Ameeni, and concluding with congregational prayers and iftar. There will also be nightly programs for the youth (ages 5-12) after the English lecture.
During this years program, there will be several interfaith sessions with local churches joining us on:

Imam Mahdi Conference 2018
The AlMahdi Foundation will be hosting the Imam Mahdi Conference at Imam Ali Masjid on Sunday, May 13th from 10am until 5pm. This event is open to the public. View the attached flyer for more information.
Night of Baraat/15th of Shabaan
A’maal for the night of Bara’at/15th of Shabaan for the birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi (AJTF) will be held at Imam Ali Masjid on Monday April 30th starting at 7pm and concluding after Maghrib and Isha prayers. All are encouraged to attend.
