The Khatme Quran commemorating the death anniversary of our beloved Marhooma Bibi Haji Seema Imrani & Marhoom Sayyid Mohsen Shah Imrani will be held on Sunday, October 09th at 4:30pm at Imam Ali Masjid.

Sunday School classes will resume in person October 2nd. Classes will be held every Sunday from 11am until 2:30pm. Registration will be open until September 29th. Use this link: bit.ly/3ShPXEY

There will be 5 classes this year:
Level A: Beginner/Ages 4-5
Level B: Beginner/Ages 6-7
Level C: Intermediate/Ages 8-9
Level D: Advanced/Ages 10-12
Level E: Ages 13+ (adult class/any level) **This is a new class aimed for young adults at any level**

Join us on Saturday, September 24th at 7 pm to commemorate the 48th day of Imam Hussain’s martyrdom and the return of the Alam, as well as the martyrdom of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and Imam Hasan (AS). The program will begin with Maghrib and Isha prayers, followed by a lecture by Sheikh Ameeni.

Join us for a two-day program to commemorate the Arbaeen of Imam Hussain (AS). On Friday, September 16th at 7pm, we will be having a youth discussion night with q&a with Sayed Mohammedhassan Alsheraa (no Arabic/Farsi lecture). On Saturday, September 17th at 7pm, we will have the Arbaeen program with English lecture with Sayed Mohammedhassan Alsheraa, as well as Arabic/Farsi with Sheikh Ameeni. It is with sadness that we inform you of the demise of Marhoom Brother Sarmad Hussein Yousif, who passed away on his way to attend majlis of Imam Hussain (as) at Imam Ali Masjid on Saturday, August 6th, 2022, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Marhoom is fondly remembered as the one whose smile and presence lit up the faces of many and any room he walked in. He will surely be missed by the community at large. Marhoom Sarmad was the husband of Sr. Haneen Yousif and father of Hussein Hussein, Mustafa Hussein, Ilyas Hussein, and Zain Hussein.

Surah Al-Fatiha is requested for Marhoom Sarmad Hussein Yousif.

Funeral Service Details: The Fatiha Majlis for our beloved brother Sarmad Hussein Yousif will be held at 7pm on Friday, August 19th, 2022, at Imam Ali Masjid.

Najaf Burial Details: An update will be shared once burial details are confirmed.

Mu’mineen are requested to give sadaqah on behalf of the deceased and remember them with Salat Al-Wahshat after the burial & with Duas of Maghfirah.

Imam Ali Masjid would like to extend its condolences to the bereaved family and relatives.
May the Almighty SWT grant the departed soul maghfirah and a place among His chosen ones and grant the family patience to bear this loss – Ameen.

It is highly recommended to give Sadaqah for Marhooms upon their death.

Salat Al-Wahshat:
In the first Raka’at, after reciting Surah al-Hamd, Ayatul Kursi should be recited once and in the second Raka’at, Surah al-Qadr should be recited 10 times after Surah-al-Hamd.
