The Moon-Sighting Committee in the Council of Shia Muslim Scholars of North America announces that Friday, October 13, 2015 will be the first day of the month of Safar 1437 for the entire region of North America.

The majlis for Lady Zaynab will start at 10AM on Sunday morning.  This is a Women’s only event and will run until noon.  After the Dhuhr/Asr prayers, the normal Sunday school program will begin.  Please note that this Sunday is daylight savings time.  All clocks should be moved back one hour when going to sleep on Saturday night.

Please note that Sunday School has been cancelled for October 18th.  Students are encouraged to join their fellow classmates at the Annual Muharram Procession in Manhattan which starts at 11AM at Park Ave and 50th Street.

Please join us nightly starting Thursday October 15th to commemorate the month of Muharram.  Further information can be found in the event flyer below and in the events section of the website.

 

Please join us this Friday to celebrate Eid Al Ghadeer.  The program will begin at 6:30PM.
