The Moon-Sighting Committee in the Council of Shia Muslim Scholars of North America announces that Sunday, December 13, 2015 will be the first day of the month of Rabi’ al-Awwal 1437 for the entire region of North America.

Please join us this Saturday as we welcome Sayyid Monir Alkhabaz to Imam Ali Masjid. This Arabic only event will begin after Dhuhr prayers.

Please join us this Thursday to commemorate the death of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and Imam Hassan (AS).  Speakers include Sheikh Ahmad Amini (Arabic) and Sayyid Atiqullah Ebady (English).

We would like to extend our condolences to the families affected by the attacks in San Bernardino.  These actions in no way represent Islam and we condemn all such acts of terrorism.  For those who are truly looking to understand our religion, we extend sincere invitations to any events on the calendar where you can speak to either Sheikh Amini or Sayyid Atiqullah.
