The Moon-Sighting Committee in the Council of Shia Muslim Scholars of North America announces that Tuesday, September 11th, 2018 will be the first day of the month of Muharram 1440AH for the entire region of North America.
Muharram 1440 AH
Muharram 1440 AH programs will be held at Imam Ali Masjid from Tuesday, September 11th through Thursday, September 20th. The program will begin nightly at 7 pm with Maghrib and Isha prayers, immediately followed by recitation of Quran and lectures in English by Sayed MohammedHassan AlSheraa and Arabic/Farsi by Sheikh Ahmad Ameeni. There also will be classes for the youth (ages 5-12) after the English lecture.

Eid al Mubahila

Eid al Ghadeer
Join us on Thursday, August 30th @ 6PM as we commemorate Eid al Ghadeer. The program will begin with some recommended A’maal associated with this blessed day, followed by Dua Kumayl, a Quranic Tafseer session, Namaz, and then dinner. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

Eid al Ghadeer Celebration
Join us for a celebration of Eid al Ghadeer, the day in which the religion was perfected, on Saturday, August 25th starting at 1 pm with Dhuhr and Asr prayers. This will be followed by lectures, poetry, and an outdoor BBQ filled with fun activities and much more! All are welcome to join us on this auspicious occasion.
