Imam Ali Masjid Sunday School Classes
Sunday School Classes will resume at Imam Ali Masjid on Sunday, October 14th for ages 4-12. Parents are requested to arrive at 10 am on October 14th for registration and an orientation meeting with the teachers. Classes will be held every week from 11 am until 2:30 pm. Two Night Series with Sheikh Mohammed Al-Hilli
Join us for a two night series with Sheikh Mohammed Al-Hilli at Imam Ali Masjid on October 8th and 9th starting nightly with Maghrib and Isha prayers.
Sheikh Mohammed Al-Hilli is an Internationally renowned Islamic Speaker and researcher who has delivered hundreds of lectures on various Islamic themes, such as Morality, Spirituality, and Quranic Sciences. He has presented talks across many countries, from the US and Canada to the Middle East. Sheikh Al-Hilli is particularly passionate in presenting the peaceful message of Islam to the World, encouraging dialogue and co-existence amongst different communities. He regularly lectures at Islamic Centres as well as universities across the UK, and is active in providing activities for the youth.
Lady Zaynab (AS) Day 2018
Sisters! Join us for the annual program held in honor of Sayeda Zaynab (a.s) on Sunday, September 30th at 10 am. We are blessed to have Sister Anisa Diab, licensed counselor, with us this year to deliver a talk on the topic of “Healing from Psychological Distress: The Zainabiyaa Mindset.”
Anisa Diab received her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Spanish from Salisbury University, and her M.S. in Community Counseling from the University of Scranton. Diab is a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and Distance Certified Counselor in good standing. Most recently, Anisa Diab worked as Coordinator for the STAND4YOU suicide prevention program at Salisbury University’s Counseling Center. Currently, Anisa works as a Crisis Counselor for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. She also owns a distance-based counseling business at AnisaDiab.com, providing one-on-one sessions to clients from anywhere in the country with the aim of making mental health support more accessible and less stigmatizing. She uses her training and professional experiences to provide workshops and trainings on topics ranging from mental wellness to understanding Islam and coping with Islamophobia.
