It is with sadness that we must announce the passing of Marhoom Haji Gholamali Kaveer. There will be a Khatme Quran on behalf of the Marhoom from his son-in-law, Abdulrasheed Askari on Sunday, December 30th from 3pm-5pm at Imam Ali Masjid.
Islamic Finances Class with Sayed Mohammad Baqir Kashmiri
Join us for an Islamic Finances Class with Sayed Mohammad Baqir Kashmiri, representative of Ayatullah Sistani, on Sunday, January 6th from 3 pm to 5 pm at Imam Ali Masjid. This class will serve to discuss the Islamic ethics regarding finances, including Zakat, Khums, other charity, and much more. There also will be an opportunity for questions from the community. Qur’an Recitation Competition at IAM
The first Qur’an Recitation Competiton will be held at Imam Ali Masjid on Sunday, January 13th from 2pm to 5pm. This competition is open to all age groups. Participants must memorize the selected passage based on their group and also may choose to take part in the optional round of reciting parts of the prayer. Participants will be judged on memorization, pronunciation, and style of the passage recited or part of prayer recited. Two winners will be chosen from each group and all reciters will receive an award for participation. View the attached flyer for more information.
