The first Qur’an Recitation Competiton will be held at Imam Ali Masjid on Sunday, January 13th from 2pm to 5pm. This competition is open to all age groups. Participants must memorize the selected passage based on their group and also may choose to take part in the optional round of reciting parts of the prayer. Participants will be judged on memorization, pronunciation, and style of the passage recited or part of prayer recited. Two winners will be chosen from each group and all reciters will receive an award for participation. View the attached flyer for more information.

The Moon-Sighting Committee in the Council of Shia Muslim Scholars of North America announces that Sunday, December 9th, 2018 will be the first day of the month of Rabi al-Thani 1440AH for the entire region of North America.

There will be a Khatme Quran for the one year anniversary of the passing of Marhoom Sayed Dr. Assadullah Ebady on Sunday, December 16th from 3 pm to 5 pm.

It is with sadness that we must announce the passing of Marhooma Rihanna Tajdar. The  Fatiha will be at Al-Ahad Center in Allentown PA  on Saturday, Dec 1st from 2 pm to 4 pm.

Join us to celebrate Milad an-Nabi and the birth anniversary of Imam Jafar as-Sadiq (as) on Sunday, November 25th at 12 pm. The program will begin with Dhuhr and Asr prayers followed by Quran recitation, poetry, and lecture by special guest Sheikh Faiyaz Jaffer, chaplain at NYU. All are encouraged to attend.
