It is with sadness that we must announce the passing of Marhoom Sayyid Hasan Imrani.  The Janazah prayer will be held at Imam Ali Masjid on Tuesday, July 30th, 2019 at 11am, followed by a funeral procession to the Park View Cemetery at Kirby’s Mill where he will be buried, and concluding with Dhuhr and Asr prayers and lunch at Imam Ali Masjid.

NOTE: The Fatiha for the Marhoom will be held on Tuesday, July 30th, 2019 at 1:30pm to 3:30pm at Imam Ali Masjid.

As Muslims living in America, we face many challenges to our faith. Join us for a much needed discussion on Saturday, August 24th at 1 pm that will analyze the future of Islam in America from four perspectives: family, community, Islamic centers, and clergy.

The event will be a panel discussion with four guest scholars, moderated by Sayyid Atiq Ebady. Each panelist will give a short talk focusing on the four aforementioned perspectives. There will be ample opportunity for the audience to interact with the speakers by offering comments and asking questions. We look forward to an engaging and interesting discussion that will address issues rarely analyzed at length.

Join us to celebrate the birth anniversary of Imam Ridha (AS) on Saturday, July 13th at 7pm. The program will begin with recitation of Quran, followed by poetry, English lecture by guest scholar Sayed Ali Abass Razawi, and concluding with congregational prayers, and dinner.

The Moon-Sighting Committee in the Council of Shia Muslim Scholars of North America announces that Thursday, July 4th, 2019 will be the first day of the month of Dhu al-Qidah 1440AH for the entire region of North America.

Join us to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Jafar Sadiq (AS) on Thursday, June 27th at 7:30 pm. The program will begin with recitation of Dua Kumayl, followed by English lecture by Sayyid Atiq Ebady, and concluding with Maghrib and Isha prayers.
