The Moon-Sighting Committee in the Council of Shia Muslim Scholars of North America announces that Sunday, September 1st, 2019 will be the first day of the month of Muharram 1441AH for the entire region of North America.
Khatme Quran and Chehlum (40th) for Marhoom Sayyid Hassan Imrani
There will be a Khatme Quran in honor of the passing of Marhoom Sayyid Hassan Imrani on Thursday, August 29th at 6:30pm.
The Chehlum (40th) of Marhoom Sayyid Hassan Imrani will be held on Sunday, September 1st at 6:30pm at Imam Ali Masjid.
Third Annual Blood Drive

Muharram 1441 Program
Muharram 1441 Program
Muharram 1441 programs will be held at Imam Ali Masjid from Sunday, September 1st until Tuesday, September 10th. The program will begin nightly with Maghrib and Isha prayers, immediately followed by lectures in English by Sheikh Mustafa Akhound and Arabic/Farsi by Sheikh Ahmad Ameeni. There also will be classes for the youth (ages 5-12) after the English lecture.
