Eid al Fitr 2022

The Moon-Sighting Committee of the Council of Shia Muslim Scholars of North America announces that Monday, May 2nd, 2022 will be the first day of the month of Shawwal, 1443 A.H. for the entire region of North America.

This determination is based on the fact that there were verified sightings of the crescent moon by the naked eye at sunset on Sunday, May 1st, 2022 in many regions of North America.

Eid Mubarak! We ask God, the Most High, for success in performing good deeds and to hasten the Return of Our Master, Imam Mahdi (p).

EID PRAYERS WILL BE HELD AT IMAM ALI MASJID ON MONDAY, MAY 2nd AT 9:30 AM SHARP.

Majlis Fatiha for Marhooma Um Amer (Abu Zahra)

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Marhooma Um Amer (Abu Zahra). There will be majlis Fatiha in her honor on Saturday, April 23rd, and Sunday, April 24th at 6:30 pm at Imam Ali Masjid.

The program will begin with the Khatm Quran, Speech, Maghrib & Isha prayers, Iftar (Dinner) in memory of the deceased, and concluding with Dua Iftitah (and amaal Laylatul Qadr on Sunday, 4/24).

Khatme Quran for the passing of Marhoom Dr. Khalil Altaee

It is with sadness that we must announce the passing of Marhoom Dr. Khalil Altaee.  There will be a Khatme Quran in his honor on Friday, April 15th at 6:30 pm.

The Marhoom was the brother of Layla Alkazaz and Faten Altaee, and the brother in law of Abdul Kareem Abu Sadiq Alkazaz and Zaid Alabbas.

Ramadhan 1443/2022 Program

Join us for the nightly Ramadhan program at Imam Ali Masjid starting from April 20th until the end of Ramadhan at 7pm. The program will begin with a speech by Sheikh Ameeni, followed by Maghrib and Isha prayers, and will conclude with Iftar and Dua Iftitah. Additionally, on the nights of Laylatul Qadr, the a’maal will be performed directly after iftar, as well as the observances for the martyrdom of Imam Ali (AS).
