The Moon-Sighting Committee of the Council of Shia Muslim Scholars of North America announces that Wednesday, April 10th, 2024 will be the first day of the month of Shawwal, 1445 A.H. for the entire region of North America.
This determination is based on the fact that there were verified sightings of the crescent moon by the naked eye at sunset on Tuesday, April 9th, 2024, in different regions of North America.

Join us for the nightly Ramadhan program at Imam Ali Masjid starting from March 27th until the end of Ramadhan at 7:30pm. The program will begin with Maghrib and Isha prayers, followed by Iftar, speech by Sayed Ahmed Qazwini, and Dua Iftitah. Additionally, on the nights of Laylatul Qadr, the a’maal will be performed directly after iftar, as well as the observances for the martyrdom of Imam Ali (AS).
